So proud of them! And so grateful they were down to try out my crazy idea! haha Angela and George were such troopers! I gave them a rundown of two poses I wanted them to do, then had them walk to the boardwalk by themselves while I hustled down GW Parkway so that I could position myself across the marsh from where they were on the boardwalk. We started the evening at Belle Haven Park last Friday and we totally lucked out with the weather! It was beautiful, and we made it just in time because it has rained pretty much 24-7 since then!Īngela and George were super fun to hang out with, and I could tell just how in love they are and excited to get married! We made our way over to our second location – the boardwalk over Dyke Marsh. The parkway and its associated trails provide a scenic place to play and rest in the busy Washington, DC metropolitan area. ![]() It links sites that commemorate important episodes in American history and preserve habitat for local wildlife. Their Belle Haven Park engagement photos may not exactly be on par with Yosemite (I mean, can you really top that?!), but I was excited to find this gorgeous, lush, waterfront location for these two outdoorsy love birds. The George Washington Memorial Parkway was designed for recreational driving. They love doing outdoorsy, adventures things together, so I was excited to get out and find them a picturesque yet outdoors focused location for their engagement session last week. He’s pretty much at rockstar status at this point!Īngela and George met while they were in college at George Mason University (go Patriots! That was my high school mascot!). When you propose to your girlfriend in an an amazing, majestic location such as Yosemite (!!!), you could probably rest on those brownie points for months – at least until your wedding! But not George! George wasn’t settling for Yosemite proposal brownie points – he went the extra mile and did Belle Haven Park engagement photos with his new fiancee just a couple months after his proposal.
